LUDHIANA: Maruti Mishra has catered to the tastes of Indian cricketers four times in his career and is now in the city to provide the city residents with his exponential art of cooking. No less than a celebrity chef, Mishra is familiar with the tastes and preferences of various celebrities he has catered to. Most of the film stars prefer low calorie diet and like their food in a home-made style, he said.
With more than 12 years of experience at five star hotels in Mumbai and Hyderabad, Maruti, 33, said Amitabh Bachhan prefers honey in his food while Aishwaraya Rai loves rice with yellow tadka dal and sorted vegetables cooked in Indian spices. 'Boti kabab' placed in a stick lures Aditya Pancholi who is particular about the taste as he knows how to make authentic kebabs, said Mishra. He added that veteran cricketer Syed Kirmani loves prawns without garlic. Mishra said Indian cricketers and many other celebrities ask for authentic Punjabi food whenever out for dining. The city residents have rich knowledge of various cuisines, said the chef, who is kicked about his tryst with the ever hungry Ludhianvis now.
